Meet the Host
Emily A. Shelby, PhD
Emily is a first-generation scientist from the small town of Savannah, Tennessee (NOT Georgia). Emily got her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University and her doctorate in Entomology from the University of Georgia. Current, Emily is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of research and podcasting, Emily takes an active role in serving her community. Her hobbies include swimming, cooking, listening to podcasts, and obsessing over random weird things. Emily has three cats: Iris, Felix and Pibby.
